Sunwhite® Calrose Rice is an oval medium-grain white rice known for its quality and taste. When cooked, Calrose rice becomes soft and tender with a tendency to stick together due to its succulent grains, allowing it to retain its moisture. Sunwhite® Calrose Rice is used in dishes that require a bit more creaminess as well as a side dish to compliment almost every meal. Its versatility means that it can be used in everything from starters and soups to desserts. For best results, rinse this rice with cold water. Drain well before cooking. Ingredients to serve:

  • ½ fruit Lemon (juiced)

  • 450 g Lamb Mince

  • 1 tbsp Oil

  • 55 g Fresh Coriander Leaves (washed and chopped)

  • 4 clove Garlic (crushed)

  • 4 Green Chilies (de-seeded and chopped)

  • ½ tsp Coriander Powder

  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder

  • ½ tsp Black Peppercorns (crushed)

  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder

  • ½ tsp Garam Masala

  • 2 tsp Ginger (grated)

  • 1 tsp Salt

Medium Grain

White medium grain rice is a round, tender and succulent grain, allowing it to lock in moisture when it is cooked. This rice is often used in dishes that require a bit more creaminess, like paella or risotto. It is also ideal in your favourite Middle Eastern, Korean and Spanish dishes.

Method

  • Mix Lamb Kebab very well. Place the kebab on a tray in the oven for 15min on medium temperature.

  • Mix tahini with water and salt, slowly add the water while stirring to keep the mixture smooth.

  • Fry pine nuts in olive oil until golden brown. Remove from heat.

  • Sauté onion in the same oil on low heat, sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  • Add garlic and stir.

  • Add tahini sauce and stir well on medium heat until starts to boil.

  • Add lemon juice and stir.

  • Pour over Lamb Kebab then return the tray into the oven for another 10 minutes.

  • Remove from oven. Place onto serving dish.
